- Passing the General Secondary Examination (Tawjihi) or its equivalent of 60% or higher in the scientific and literary stream.

General Biology
Students will investigate biological concepts including the chemical basis of life, cell structure and function, metabolism, reproduction, genetics, evolution, biological diversity and classification. Additionally, they will have brief insights into microorganisms and their structure and function. This course will also include the study of the basic concepts of organic and inorganic chemistry topics related to biology.
Fundamentals of Nursing Theory (2)
This course is an introduction to basic nursing concepts and skills. Nurses today must be able to grow in order to meet the demands of a dramatically changing health care system. They need to benefit from the nursing process, and evidence-based practice; Students learn the specific concepts needed in nursing care planning that address the client’s cognitive, interpersonal and motor skills, psychosocial, developmental, protection, safety, and basic physiological needs. Fundamentals of Nursing (2) Practical

This course is an introduction to basic nursing concepts and skills. Students will learn how to appropriately utilize the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Moreover, provides the theoretical basis for health assessment and physical examination and clinical experience to apply knowledge in a practice setting. Students will learn the techniques of interviewing the history, physical examination, and common and important symptoms. Critical thinking skills are applied to analyze data to identify nursing and collaboration problems.
General Chemistry
General Chemistry: is a course designed to provide a survey of inorganic and physical chemistry and an introduction to organic chemistry for non-science and allied health majors. Topics studied in this course include atomic structure, covalent and ionic bonding, chemical reactions, chemical calculations, acid, base and solution chemistry and chemistry of hydrocarbons. Quantitative reasoning skills are developed and used where appropriate to enhance the understanding of these concepts. The medical and environmental applications of topics covered in lecture are highlighted.
Fundamentals of Nursing(1) Laboratory
This course includes introducing the students to the practice and rationale of vital signs of the human and how to assess them, with special consideration on the assessment and management of pain, as the fifth vital sign. main physical assessment techniques; inspection, palpation, percussion, and auscultation, will be utilized in this course.
Students will learn how to appropriately utilize the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Learn the specific concepts needed in nursing care planning that address the client’s biopsychosocial issues (cognition, personality, protection, psychomotor skills and developmental needs), and support patterns of functional health. There is great emphasis on the critical elements of nursing procedures and the scientific rationale for performing the procedures correctly.
Pharmacology
This course briefly describes the general principles of pharmacology and the relationship of the nursing profession in this science, in addition to covering the most important drugs used in the treatment of various diseases, the nurse’s relationship in administering medications and observing the work of nurses and to distinguish routes of administration. Medications and side effects in the patient. The course will include a wide simple introduction to Pharmacology, principles, and regulations. Teaching the students, the language and terms of pharmacology.
Maternity Nursing Practical
Maternity nursing clinical course will focus on the wellbeing of the women and infant during child
bearing period, it provide student with knowledge, experience, and skills needed to become
competent care provider and understand the process of pregnancy , reproductive cycle, physiology
and physiological changes in pregnancy and post -delivery , normal and abnormal labour , high risk
pregnancy and postpartum, and appropriate implementation of nursing care to meet these needs
and attempts is made to coordinate the antenatal, intra-partum and post natal with experiences in
the respective areas.
Medical Surgical Nursing(1) Theory
This course is an introduction to Adult Health Nursing; It introduces students to the conditions that affect the functional health patterns of an adult patient. Nursing process will be used to explore the role of the professional nurse in assisting clients to meet the bio physiological and psychosocial needs in different clinical settings. Medical Surgical Nursing(1) Practical
This course is designed to provide a guided nursing experience, knowledge and skills essential in preparation of professional nurses who are responsible to provide nursing care of adult patients with medical and surgical health conditions. It focuses on the bio-psycho-social responses of adults to actual and high risk conditions that affect their functional health patterns. This course provides the student with the practical experiences in the clinical settings to deliver nursing care for adult patients with altered functional health patterns. The nursing process will be utilized as a framework for care for the individuals and their families. The course aims at developing the decision-making and problem solving skills, and linking theory to practice
Pediatric Nursing Theory
This course is designed to promote the knowledge of students concerning child health starting from birth with respect to his infancy, and childhood. The student will be exposed to care of the healthy child and be able to explore the children at high risk, and study the family as a whole and the relationships of the nurse with his family. The needs of the children are addressed through the Quality and Safety for Nurses (QSEN) Initiative incorporating the concepts of patient centered care, teamwork and collaboration, evidence-based practice, safety, quality improvement and informatics.
The purpose of this course is to prepare graduate nurses who have increased knowledge, critical thinking and decision-making skills to provide safe, competent and compassionate care to children and their families in multiple care settings with special focus on QSEN competencies all over the course.
Community Health Nursing Theory
This course is designed to help students gain a good and broad perspective on community health nursing, including health promotion, disease prevention and other community nursing concepts. The pre-learned complete health assessment is used to guide the perceptions of individuals within the family and the family within the community in either disease or wellness. All concepts of the nursing process are applied within the framework of family and self-care. This will include the role of Community Health Nurse with its accompanying skills, such as assessments, status analysis, and health education for community groups at risk. Work must be done to analyze the roles and interactions of the community health nurse with the individual, the family and the community as a whole. Topics relevant to aspects of primary health care and community health will be applied throughout the course.
Pediatric Nursing Practical
This course provides the student with the skills necessary for nursing care of healthy as well as ill children and adolescents. The students will be able to perform health assessments to the newborn child, as well as to the children and adolescents at different stages of their lives. Then, the students will compose a holistic plan to meet the client’s physical and psychological needs, and implement the plan of care in accordance with the nursing process. The clinical will focus the assessment on acute care childhood patients including skills as newborn and child assessment ,cardiovascular, respiratory , neurological disorder, etc. by student intervention or observation in the clinical setting
Community Health Nursing Practical
This course is designed to gain a broad perspective on community health nursing at the three levels of care; The individual, family and society. Furthermore, the course provides students with opportunities for comprehensive practice in various community health nursing settings under academic supervision in a different community setting, based on a health promotion model. During this course, students will benefit from problem solving approach and decision-making by implementing the nursing process in diverse community settings.
Medical Ethics
This course is an introduction to basic nursing ethics. The course helps the students develop practical understanding of the issues and standards of the nursing profession, equips them to apply general principles intelligently to changing situations to achieve effective outcomes and prepares them for role transition into the healthcare system. It also helps students to develop the core skills required of competent members of a moral community, including; value clarification, sound ethical-decision making, collaborating with others to determine ethical standards or policy. Case studies of potential and actual ethical issues and dilemmas arising in nursing practice are analysed using the intellectual standards of critical thinking in a framework of ethical decision-making
Psychiatry Nursing Theory
This course is designed to enable the student to understand psychiatric disorders, and uses different theoretical approaches in implementing the process of nursing care for individuals who present with various mental health deviations. Focuses on the role of the nurse, as a member of a multidisciplinary team, in the care and restoration of optimal functioning of a patient with a psychiatric/mental illness.
The course explores the use of the nursing process to promote the physical, psychological, social, cultural and spiritual well-being of individuals, families, and groups at the promotional, and rehabilitative care levels.
Nutrition
The Nutrition for Nursing course will cover the critical role nutrition plays in health and patient care, equipping nursing students with a comprehensive understanding of essential nutritional concepts. Throughout the course, students will gain foundational knowledge of macronutrients and micronutrients, develop skills for assessing patients’ nutritional status using various methods, and learn to create personalized nutrition care plans that consider medical histories and cultural preferences. Emphasizing the impact of nutrition on the prevention and management of chronic diseases such as diabetes and obesity, the course will cultivate effective communication skills for educating patients and their families about healthy eating practices. Ethical considerations related to informed consent and patient autonomy will also be explored, alongside current research and evidence-based guidelines that inform nutritional recommendations. Furthermore, students will recognize the importance of collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive nutritional care, ultimately preparing them to integrate this vital knowledge into their nursing practice and promote health and wellness in their patients.
Psychiatry of Nursing Practical
This course has been designed to promote nursing student’s ability and insight to develop knowledge and gain practical experience when dealing with an individual who is suffering from mental and psychological problems, or an individual who is suffering from physical, emotional, spiritual and social problems of a psychological and mental effects. The course is planned to facilitate integration and application of the scientific knowledge acquired from theory class. The nursing process will be applied through the therapeutic relationship between the nurse and the client. The focus is on a humanistic holistic approach through effective communication with the health care team members to promote the health and well-being of the client within the therapeutic environment.

The clinical practice will focused assessment of acute care adult patients including basic skills for neurological, musculoskeletal disorder, digestive disorders, renal disorders etc.
