In 2025, Palestine Ahliya University (PAU) continues to uphold its comprehensive “smoke-free” policy, reflecting its strong commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of its entire community. This policy aims to reduce exposure to secondhand smoke, promote healthier lifestyle choices, and preserve a clean and safe campus environment. Through this initiative, the University encourages students, faculty, and staff to adopt positive health behaviors and actively contribute to fostering a sustainable, health-conscious, and respectful campus culture.
In 2025, Palestine Ahliya University (PAU) continues to advance its strategic sustainability framework, which encompasses the overarching framework, strategy, policies, procedures, performance indicators, dashboard, sustainability reporting methodology, and quality culture survey, among other key components. This framework was developed through collaboration with a consortium of Arab universities—including Al-Ahliyya Amman University (Jordan), An-Najah National University, Palestine Technical University, and the University of Al-Maarif—alongside several international and local organizations. This collective effort reflects PAU’s ongoing commitment to adopting and implementing best practices in sustainability, fostering institutional excellence, and promoting long-term social and environmental responsibility.
