
Prof. Imad Al-Zeer Participates in 34th Board Meeting of the Arab Council for Student Training and Creativity in Libya
Prof. Imad Al-Zeer, President of Palestine Ahliya University, participated in the 34th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Arab Council for Student Training and Creativity, hosted by the Open University of Libya in Tripoli. The meeting was chaired by Prof Nathir Obeidat., President of the University of Jordan and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Council.
During the meeting, participants discussed the items listed on the agenda, most notably the Council’s annual activities for 2026, the strategic plan, the bylaws and internal regulations, as well as the general budget for 2026, as well as other emerging matters.
Prof. Imad Al-Zeer, a member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Council for Student Training, who participated in the meeting via video conferencing, emphasized the importance of student exchange programs in enhancing students’ competencies and refining their skills. He noted that such programs contribute to preparing students to meet labor market demands, while strengthening their academic and professional experience and promoting cultural exchange.
The meeting was also attended by Prof. Amr Ezzat Salameh, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities; Prof. Moez El-Shafra, President of the University of Tunis El Manar; and Pro. Fawwaz Al-Zghoul, Director of the Arab Council for Student Training and Creativity.
The Open University of Libya was represented at the meeting by Prof. Naema Al-Jadi, Vice President for Academic Affairs, while Prof. Hala Salem Elmenofy, President of the Egypt University for Science and Technology, and Prof. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nada, President of Anbar University, participated via video conferencing. The meeting’s secretariat was overseen by Eng. Jihad Al-Kharraz, Assistant Director of the Arab Council.
Representing the Secretariat of the Association of Arab Universities, Professor Dr. Anas Rateb Al-Saud, Executive Director, and Dr. Lina Al-Bitar, Director of the General Administration, also attended the meeting.
