The following are the conditions for student admission and registration at the university:
1. Obtain the printed admission or electronic application form and complete it according to the instructions. Please submit it to the Admissions and Registration Department along with the following documents: a General Secondary Certificate or its equivalent, a birth certificate in both Arabic and English, a copy of the ID card, two passport-sized photos, and any other documents required by the department.
2. If the student applies for admission before the announcement of the General Secondary Certificate (Tawjihi) results, they can write the seat number in the designated place on the application.
3. The Admissions and Registration Department receives admission applications and the attached documents during the period announced by the department. No applications will be accepted after the specified deadlines.
4. After the student’s acceptance is announced in local newspapers and on the university’s website, the student must personally visit the Admissions and Registration Department during the specified dates to pay the fees and complete the required documents.
5. The student must register in their first semester at the university according to their approved study plan.
6. The student will lose the right to admission if they fail to meet the specified acceptance deadline, withdraw their registration documents, or provide incorrect information in the admission application.
The student is granted a BA degree upon completing the following requirements with a cumulative GPA of not less than 1.0 and a major GPA of not less than 1.5:
1. General University compulsory and elective requirements with a total number of 27 credit hours.
2. Faculty requirements according to the approved faculty study plan at the time of admission to the department.
3. Major (program) requirements according to the approved program study plan at admission.
The following rules and conditions apply for accepting students from other universities:
1. The student must be enrolled in a recognized university or college.
2. The student must not be dismissed from the university or college they are transferring to.
3. The student must meet the transfer conditions approved by the university.
4. The transfer procedures must be completed within the period specified by the Admissions and Registration Department, not exceeding the end of the second week of the start of classes. After completing the procedures, the student receives a transfer notice, allowing them to study at PAU.
5. Suppose it is discovered that the student was previously dismissed from the university or college they transferred from. In that case, their registration is considered invalid from the date of acceptance of their transfer to the university.
6. A maximum of 60 credit hours studied at the previous university or college will be counted.
7. The student’s General Secondary School average or its equivalent must qualify them for acceptance into the college or major they want to join in the year they obtained the General Secondary Certificate.
8. The student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of not less than 60%.
9. Courses in which the student obtained a grade of at least 70% or its equivalent will be considered, and exceptional cases will be accepted by the decision of the Dean’s Council.
Students with certificates other than the General Secondary Certificate or the Israeli Bagrut Certificate are accepted as follows:
- IB Certificates: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education will equate the International Baccalaureate (IB) certificate if the student meets the following conditions:
- The student has completed secondary education in the country where they studied.
- Passed six subjects, one at the higher level and five at the standard level.
- Attained a total of 21 points out of 42.
- Grades are on a scale of 3 to 7 for higher-level subjects and 2 to 7 for standard-level subjects. (If the student takes two or more higher level subjects, the additional subject is treated as standard level subjects in calculating points and success criteria.)
Admission conditions for students with an IB diploma at the university: The Admission Department will calculate the percentage grades obtained by the student with the IB diploma as follows:

• Two additional points are added to the student’s GPA if they receive two extra points in the Extended Essay. One point is added if they receive one extra point in the Extended Essay for a total.
• Students receive additional marks if they study additional courses at the higher level (6, 7). Two points are added for students with a grade of 6 or 7, and one point is added for students with a grade of 5.
• Students are accepted based on their percentage grades calculated according to the Palestinian certificate criteria.
Certificates: IGCSE, GCSE, GCE (British General Certificate of Education): The Ministry of Education and Higher Education will equate these certificates if the student meets the following conditions:
1. Pass eight subjects, including two at the Advanced Level and six at the Ordinary Level.
2. Arabic language should be one of the eight subjects for Arab students studying in an Arab country.
3. Two of the Advanced Level subjects should be from the pure/natural sciences for the scientific stream equivalence or from the social and humanities for the literary stream equivalence.
4. Grades for the Advanced Level are calculated from A to E and the Ordinary Level from A to D.
Admission conditions for students with a British General Certificate of Education at the university are:
1. Students must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
2. Their GPA is calculated after converting the students’ grades from alphabets to percentages.
3. Additional points are added to the student’s GPA if they study additional courses at the A and AS levels as follows:

• Students are accepted based on their percentage grades calculated according to the Palestinian certificate criteria.
• SATII Exam: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education will equate the SATII certificate if the student meets the following conditions:
1. Completion of twelfth grade and obtaining a High School Diploma from a school that follows the American system and is accredited by a recognized American educational institution.
2. Passing the SATI exam with its three sections (Writing, Reading, Math) with a score of no less than 400 (for equivalence purposes).
3. Passing six subjects from the SATII subjects, provided that one of the subjects is Mathematics (Math Level IC) among the six subjects, and the score in each subject should be no less than 400 (for equivalence purposes).
1. Applications for admission to the university are accepted at the beginning of each academic semester, the first and second semesters of each academic year. The admission application can be obtained from the university’s website (www.paluniv.edu.ps).
2. The university accepts students according to the regulations and instructions set by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, as follows:
• The student must have successfully obtained the Bagrut certificate (Israeli high school matriculation).
• Some programs require students to pass specific courses like mathematics, chemistry, physics, and biology.
