Introduction
Palestine Ahliya University (PAU) is committed to expanding access to educational resources beyond its enrolled student population by providing members of the wider community with opportunities for learning, research, and professional development. Through its library, digital learning resources, public educational activities, and continuing education services, the University supports lifelong learning and promotes inclusive access to knowledge.
Free Access to Library Facilities and Equipment
PAU provides members of the local community who are not enrolled at the University with access to selected educational facilities and resources. External visitors can use the University Library to consult its physical collection of books, academic references, and periodicals, as well as access computer workstations and dedicated study areas.
Through the library’s computer facilities, visitors can access available digital databases, research journals, and electronic books. Library staff also provide assistance in locating educational materials and navigating available information resources, helping community members make effective use of the University’s learning facilities.
Access to Online Educational Resources
The University supports access to digital educational resources as part of its commitment to inclusive learning. Through the library’s digital facilities, visitors can use available electronic resources, including academic databases, research publications, and e-books.
PAU continues to develop its digital channels and learning infrastructure to facilitate access to educational materials and encourage independent learning, research, and knowledge sharing.
Free Courses and Continuing Education Opportunities
Through its Continuing Education Center (CEC), PAU extends learning and professional development opportunities to individuals and institutions across the local community. The Center offers certificate programs, non-credit courses, workshops, and customized training activities designed to strengthen professional, technical, and personal competencies.
The University’s community learning approach also includes free educational and training opportunities leading to certificates, where offered, enabling participants outside the University to develop their knowledge and skills without financial barriers.
Public Lectures, Workshops, and Educational Activities

The policy promotes equitable access to academic materials, digital and physical library resources, open educational resources, and relevant learning platforms. It also emphasizes awareness, library assistance, monitoring, and periodic evaluation to improve the accessibility and effectiveness of educational resources.
