The Counseling and Mental Health Department at Palestine Ahliya University provides comprehensive psychological and social support services for students, staff, and academic personnel, helping them adapt to campus life, manage personal and professional challenges, and enhance overall well-being. Through qualified specialists, the department offers individual and group counseling using modern developmental, preventive, and therapeutic approaches that strengthen self-awareness, build coping skills, and support emotional and academic success.

Its intervention model operates on three levels:
Developmental, by enhancing personal growth, building life skills, supporting new students’ integration, and creating an inclusive environment for individuals with disabilities;
Preventive, through early mental-health intervention, awareness programs, academic and social guidance, and community partnerships that promote psychological well-being;
Therapeutic, by providing psychological and social counseling, addressing mental health difficulties, improving emotional functioning, and ensuring close follow-up for high-risk cases.

In addition to counseling services, the department organizes workshops, capacity-building activities, training programs, and psychosocial support events, ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive university environment for all members of the campus community.
