Palestine Ahliya University and Bank of Palestine Discuss Strengthening Partnership and Future Collaboration

As part of efforts to strengthen national partnerships that support higher education and community development, a delegation from Palestine Ahliya University visited Bank of Palestine to discuss prospects for joint cooperation between the two institutions.

The university delegation included Prof. Imad Al-Zeer, President of the University; Jiries Abu Ghannam, President Assistant for Public Relations and International Affairs; and Mr. Khaled Shana’a, President Assistant for Community Development and Projects.

On the Bank of Palestine side, the meeting was attended by Mr. Mahmoud Al-Shawa, CEO; Mr. Salim Al-Houdali, Director of Personnel and Branches; and Mr. Nasser Bakeer, Chief Business Banking Officer. The discussion focused on potential cooperation in student support, funding entrepreneurial projects, promoting economic and social empowerment initiatives, and establishing joint programs linking education with the labor market, thereby enhancing the university’s role in serving the community.

Prof. Imad Al-Zeer emphasized Palestine Ahliya University’s commitment to building effective partnerships with leading national institutions, highlighting Bank of Palestine’s role in supporting education and youth empowerment. In turn, Mr. Mahmoud Al-Shawa welcomed the collaboration, praising the university’s academic and community contributions and expressing the bank’s readiness to explore joint initiatives supporting students and the academic sector. This visit aligns with the university’s vision to strengthen national partnerships that advance higher education and sustainable development in Palestine.
