The Impact of Green Human Resources Management Practices on the Organizational Ambidexterity: Jordan Food and Drug Administration Case Study.
ملخص البحث
This study aimed to examine the influence of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) practices on Organizational Ambidexterity (OA) within the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA). We focused primarily on two variables: the independent variable, represented by seven dimensions of GHRM practices (green analysis and job description, green selection and recruitment, green training, green performance appraisal, green rewards, green employee involvement, and green health and safety) and the dependent variable, embodied in the two dimensions of OA—exploitation and exploration. Data for our study were collected through a survey, and we achieved a robust response rate of 84% from 260 targeted respondents working at JFDA. Unfortunately, 41 questionnaires were not returned, constituting a 16% shortfall. Thus, a total of 219 valid questionnaires were utilized for our analysis. We employed a descriptive-analytical method and leveraged suitable statistical techniques in SPSS to test our hypothesis and meet the study’s objective. Our key finding revealed that implementing the specified GHRM practices significantly influenced OA within JFDA. These GHRM dimensions contributed to approximately 42% of the OA, with a noteworthy dominant contribution from the “green health and safety” dimension. Given these findings, our study recommends an increasing focus on enhancing the positive aspects of OA and its applications. Further, it emphasizes the need for strengthening GHRM practices within JFDA, particularly those concerning green health and safety.
